One thing we are learning about waiting to write the recap from weeks previous: we tend to fall victim to the “oh sh*t what happened?” Lucky for us, all of our recaps tend to be reworkings in theory of the same things: “wow, The Do-Over was so insane and we all got completely leveled!”
With that, this week we got to have a couple of Do-Over first timers as well as two seasoned vets. Following Haycock’s early two hour warm-up, Vancouver friends Neoteric and U-Tern wasted no time becoming seasoned with perfect moods for the backyard boogie. Next up, Adam 12, who obviously had done the do many a time did what he does best and kept the dancefloor blazing. Finally an unexpected journey into the lesser acknowledged side of Detroit sounds from Mayer Hawthorne tipped the scales. Download the sets and see what we are talking about…

On Sunday August 22nd, The Do-Over aka The Do-Oregon rears its sangria drunken head for a 2nd session in the Great Northwest. Following the response from our maiden voyage last month, we are extremely excited to bring back the “What’cha Wanna” for another great day in Portland.
This time we are bringing up a brand new cast of mystery characters along with the Do Crew of Haycock, Strong and Blacc. Be sure to arrive early and stay late…

The beauty of The Do-Over is everyone that we book is an All-Star in our opinion whether s/he is known or unknown. We only invite our favorite DJ’s and their favorite DJ’s which was the case on Aug 1st. Shinehead joined Do-Over resident Jamie Strong on the early shift and stretched it out from classic reggae to yacht rock to funk. We bid farewell to one of LA’s finest A-Ski as he switches coasts and paid homage to his new home with a set of Paradise Garage/Loft Classics. Sake 1 made his annual journey from The Bay to LA and proved once again that he is one of the best on the West Coast. Local favorite Wyatt Case held down closing duties with a rump shaking affair.
