In true spirit of The Do-Over party, Volume 2 of our Limited Edition 10” Series (1,000 copies) is a Southern California affair from The OC to The OX. “This” Side features DJ Rhettmatic of the World Famous Beat Junkies showcasing his chops on the MPC producing one of the hardest hitting beats we’ve heard in years, while Stones Throw’s MED raps about a day in the life at The Do-Over (“club packed like Shaq in a Scion truck”). “That” Side features new school beatsmith Free The Robots delivering a melodic synth heavy beat brigade that takes you on an emotional journey.
This time Kristian Henson of Studio No. 1 fame adds his influence on the packaging with a special diamond diecut outer sleeve exposing the contrasting inner sleeve which contain a special marble blue vinyl.

Share on FacebookIt’s been said that “3″ is the magic number. Week Three of our sixth season proved just that. A sticky Memorial Day Sunday could be the perfect stage for The Do-Over. We expected a wild one, but perhaps we didn’t forsee it being that berserk.
In typical fashion Strong and Haycock adjusted the levels up for the first few hours. Strong took it across the place in various tempos building up to a disco pace, while Haycock went back down into the dirtier 90bpms tossing a vast selection. The voodoo deep master, Osunlade, followed with a sunny sweaty set of roller classics to deep daylight house jams. Hier followed it up with a fist pump set of the nice kind, even calling people out for expecting the Jamaica sounds he’s known and wasn’t necessarily falling into for most of the set. Beat Junkies own Rhettmatic did what he does best and ripped the patio a new one with a set of classics galore. Fresh from LAX, Pase Rock came in and bitch smacked the tipsy crowd around and did not let up until we were forced to close down at 10:15. All in all another reason you should get to The Do-Over early… it’s a daytime jam if you haven’t already realized.
What should you expect this upcoming Sunday? We ain’t gonna tell you who’s playing but we can assure you it will be another stumbling Sunday under the sun. Oh yeah… GO LAKERS!

Friends and family traveled from far and near for our annual post bird day romp aka The Left-Over. If you’ve had the pleasure of attending any of our one-off events, you’ve come to learn that these are some of the most fun Do-Over’s to experience. Well, this year’s Left-Over definitely lived up to those expectations. With each passing season, the bar itself takes on a new life and identity of its own. Attendees were treated to the next phase of Cranes, which included a remodeled outside patio giving it a Brooklyn-esque feel. As for the party itself, it was a nonstop rug cutting affair with $mall Change making his annual pilgrimage from NYC to get down alongside fellow New Yorker JT Donaldson, KCRW’s Jeremy Sole and Rhettmatic featuring Eric Bobo on percussion who had the crowd in a dancing frenzy (Rhett even made a cameo on percussion!).
Save The Date: Friday, January 1st. The New-Over.
If you attended our first ever New Years Day party last year, you know it’s not worth missing. That was probably our craziest party all year and in the history of Do-Over. This year we will top it bigger and bigger.
