The Do-Over

Friends and family traveled from far and near for our annual post bird day romp aka The Left-Over. If you’ve had the pleasure of attending any of our one-off events, you’ve come to learn that these are some of the most fun Do-Over’s to experience. Well, this year’s Left-Over definitely lived up to those expectations. With each passing season, the bar itself takes on a new life and identity of its own. Attendees were treated to the next phase of Cranes, which included a remodeled outside patio giving it a Brooklyn-esque feel. As for the party itself, it was a nonstop rug cutting affair with $mall Change making his annual pilgrimage from NYC to get down alongside fellow New Yorker JT Donaldson, KCRW’s Jeremy Sole and Rhettmatic featuring Eric Bobo on percussion who had the crowd in a dancing frenzy (Rhett even made a cameo on percussion!).

Save The Date: Friday, January 1st. The New-Over.

If you attended our first ever New Years Day party last year, you know it’s not worth missing. That was probably our craziest party all year and in the history of Do-Over. This year we will top it bigger and bigger.

ARRIVE EARLY FOR 1/2 PRICE SANGRIA CARAFES from 2-4pm

The 2nd Annual Left-Over was quite the hum dinger! As the turkey settled, the waistband expanded, and we recovered from PBDS (Post Bird-Day Syndrome), the fiesta carried on in true Do-Over fashion:  leftovers, tunes, and drinks (and more drinks).  It was another packed house as we welcomed an eclectic batch of mystery guest selectors which included Small Change, Mr. Choc, John Arnold, Them Jeans, Jayceoh, & Plan 9.  Those of you in attendance were treated to the opening of the bar next door as well as phase one of the remodeling inside Cranes.  It’s been a long time coming, but was well worth the wait as the bar now offers something for everyone.  Get your groove on outside, cut some rugs inside, or kick back and get your swerve on next door in a more intimate setting.  Watch this space for more developments.

We will see you all the first day of 2009. Thats right, what better place to work off that New Years Eve hangover than The Do-Over, or as we like to call it… The New-Over!
